Test & Evaluation Solutions, LLC currently has an immediate full-time opening for a Naval Architect/Marine Engineer with a background in ship survivability to support survivability assessments being performed using the Integrated Recoverability Model (IRM) software product (www.irm-software.org).  IRM is a network connectivity time-based software model used to simulate the interactions of complex systems to quantify interdependencies and cascading consequences from system disruptions.  The selected applicant is expected to have prior ship survivability modelling and simulation experience and familiarity with the methods of weapon effects system damage assessments as applied to naval vessels.  The selected applicant will be tasked with building ship description databases, conducting and documenting model verification, and performing survivability assessments.  Prior experience using the IRM software is not required, but candidates must have systems engineering experience and an ability to understand and decipher information contained in systems technical documents and drawings.  The selected applicant must be able to work in a team environment, communicate effectively with mechanical and marine systems engineers, and prioritize work to meet schedule requirements.

Basic Qualification Requirements:

  1. U.S. citizenship.
  2. Possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Marine Engineer, Naval Architect, or working in a Ship Survivability related position. 
  4. Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in a relevant field.  Masters degree may be substituted for years of experience.
  5. Some computer programming experience and knowledge of SQLite or similar database engines is also highly desired.
